33. Haggle 

Bargain
e.g – the last time I went shopping with my mother she was haggling for a small and inexpensive item. 
I managed to haggle the price of this shirt by 25%.

34. Give a ring 

This slang phrase just means to give someone a call.
This can be used when you want to call someone about something specific and issue topic or situation. In other words it is most commonly used when there is a specific propose or a phone call.
e.g – my boss told me to call him after I finished my team work ,so that we could discuss our plans for the upcoming year.
My friend hasn’t been around for a while so I decided to give her a call to check up on her. But she didn’t answer when I called.

35. Crash

This slang word means to fall asleep suddenly after being extremely exhausted
It is mainly used when talking about people who have worked hard or studied for a long period of time and feel exhausted.
e.g – ” my friend and I ran a marathon yesterday morning and it was great. But after we refueled with a big lunch we both went home and immediately fell asleep for the rest of the day.”

This slang word is a way of speaking negatively about someone or something.
This can be used to bad mouth something or someone you don’t like.

37. Pig out

This slang phrase is used to describe someone binge eating.
This can be used to describe someone eating a lot after coming off of a diet or someone eating without any restraints.
e.g – ” yesterday was a holiday, so we decided to eat for hours .we ate Pizza ,fries ,ice cream cakes, candy and a whole bunch of other stuff. It was great but our stomach’s hurt now.

38. Trash

This slang word refers to destruction
This can be used to describe total or complete destruction.
e.g – his mother was furious when she walked into the house and saw the mess. He had totally messed up the house with his friends during a party and his mom was beyond upset.
The students decided to destroy the classroom because they didn’t like their teacher. So the principal had to expel them.



39. Pass the buck

This slang phrase means to deflect responsibility on to someone else.
This can be used when someone does not want to do something or when something bad happens and no one wants to take responsibility.

This slang phrase means to deliberately ignore someone.
This can be used in professional and casual situations.

This slang phrase means to ride in the front passenger seat of a vehicle it comes from old West where the person in the passenger seat carried the short gun for protection
This can be used to describe the passenger in the front seat of any type of vehicle.
e.g – I called shotgun so you have to get in the back. You can ride in the front seat next time.

This slang phrase means to irritate or annoy
This can be used to describe annoyance for a person thing or situation.

This slang word an American dollar
This can be used whenever someone is speaking about money. It basically replaces the word dollar.

This can be used to emphasize that someone revealed information they should not have told.
e.g – we planned a surprise birthday party for my friend but Barbara and off accidentally telling her.

45. Cram 

This slang word means to study feverishly before a test it is  typically done after neglecting to study consistently prior to the test.
This can be used specifically when someone is preparing for a big or important test.
e.g – the student had to study quickly for the test because they forget to look at the syllabus. They had all assume that the final test was cancelled but they were wrong.
I was on vacation last month and I missed 4 classes. So when I came back and found out that our exam was the next day I had to study hard all night in other to prepare for the exam.

This slang word is an adjective that describes closeness between competitions.
This can be used to basically describe any type of close competition.
e.g – The presidential race is pretty close. It is hard to tell who will win this year.
The race between Michael and Sam is really close. I am not sure if Michael will be able to out run Sam this time.


47. Hang out

This slang phrase means to casually gather together or spend time with someone in a social manner.
This can be used to describe the time spent with friends or family.
e.g – no one had any money yesterday so we all just decided to spend time together at my place and watch movies. I actually turned out to be a great night. We laughed and talk for hours.
My friends and I usually try to spend time together once a week because we enjoy spending time together. But sometime we get too busy to get together because of work.



48. Piece of cake

This slang phrase is used to describe something that is easy or effortless.
This can be used to describe an easy task or duty.
e.g – I can do that for you. I love working with technology so it’s super easy for me.
After driving for more than 20 years it has become easy for me. I feel like I can even drive in my sleep.



49. Hyped

This slang word is used to express a very excited state.
This can be used when speaking about sporting events big problems or any event that is out of the normal routine.

53. creep

This can be used when speaking about someone you do not like or who make you feel very uncomfortable when they are around you.

This can be used in both casual and business situations.
e.g – when my friend and I go out to eat we usually pay separately.

This slang phrase means and abrupt increase in the price of something.
This can be used to express shock or surprise because of the sudden increase in price.

I don’t agree with how the company increased the prices at the last minute. In my opinion people are going to stop buying products if we continue to do things like that.

The slang phrase means someone who is very easy to be around and talk to you. It also refers to someone who is not concerned with status for rank instead they treat all people the same.
It is mainly used when talking about people who are easy going and personable.
e.g – ” all the students love the professor because he is so nice. He takes time to speak with each and every student and he genuinely seems to care.”

57. Plead the fifth

This slang phrase references the fifth amendment to the U.S constitution which allows a witness in court to refuse questions on the basis that they made risk self-incrimination.
This can be used when you don’t want to answer a difficult or awkward question about your actions or comments.
e.g – when you are called to testify you can refuse to answer when ever you want. For example if they ask your difficult question that you don’t want to answer you can plead it right then.

Something is so funny it’s force due to be hyperbolic
