PARTS OF SPEECH
There are eight part of speech
1. Noun
2. Pronoun
3. Adjective
4. Verb
5. Adverb
6. Preposition
7. Conjunction
8. Interjection
NOUN
Noun is a word uses as the name of a person, place or thing.
or
A noun is a naming word.
For Example :-
Paris, Riya, Table, Chair, Pencil, Chennai, Sia etc..
The word thing includes
1. All objects that we can see, smell, touch, hear
2. Something that we can think of, but cannot perceive by the senses.
For Example:-
Shines, Bravery, Honesty
NOUNS IN SENTENCES
- I am eating a apple.
- My pencil is broken.
- Seema is playing with football.
- I live in Paris.
PRONOUN
A pronoun is a word used instead of a noun.
For Example:-
She, You, Her, He, They, I, We, etc..
PRONOUN IN SENTENCES
- Riya is absent, because she is ill.
- The copies are where you left them.
- He walked home.
ADJECTIVE
Adjective is a word used to add something to the meaning of a noun.
For Example:-
Black, White, Bitter, Brave, Coward, Few, etc..
ADJECTIVES IN SENTENCES
- She is a brave girl.
- There are five girls in this class.
- She has a black car.
VERB
A Verb is a word used to express an action or state.
For Example:-
Run, Eat, Walk, Write
VERB IN SENTENCES
- I go to college.
- Riya came here yesterday.
- Open all the windows.
ADVERB
Adverb is a word used to add something to the meaning of a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.
- She is painting happily. } add something to the meaning of a verb. (Verb + Adverb)
- Its an extremely interesting book. } add something to the meaning of an adjective. (Adverb + Adjective )
- Riya is trying very hard. } add something to the meaning of another adverb. (Adverb + Adverb )
For Example:-
Carefully, Happily, Nicely, Lovely etc..
Hard, well, there, everywhere, before, after, always, etc..
ADVERB IN SENTECES
- She solved the sum quickly.
- Riya sang beautifully.
PREPOSITION.
A preposition is a word used with a noun or a pronoun to show how the person or thing denoted by the noun or pronoun stands in relation to something else.
For Example:-
About, At, To, Of, With, For, ON etc..
PREPOSITIONS IN SENTENCES
- There is a horse in the garden.
- The boy is fond of music.
- A little girl sat under the tree.
CONJUNCTION
A conjunction is a word used to join words or sentences.
For Example:-
Both, Ans, Or, Than, That, Either etc..
CONJUNCTION IN SENTENCES
- Siya and Riya are friends.
- I ran fast but missed the train.
- She was poor, so they helped her.
INTERJECTION
An Interjection is a word which expresses some sudden feeling.
For Example:-
Wow!, Hello!, Yuck!, Oops!, etc..
INTERJECTION IN SENTENCES
- Hurrah! I have won the gam.
- Alas! She is dead.
- What! I don’t mean to say that,
