Sir/Madam
Kindly allow me some space in your esteemed daily to express my views on how youth and their energy can help in eradicating poverty from India. Various steps, taken by the government from time to time, you have not gone the long way to make much difference to the state of things as they are. The factors, responsible for the acute the poverty that existing scenario. Then, there is ever widening gap between the few rich and the many poor. Something needs to be done to bring down this gap.
The present day youth in India can play their due role in solving this problem at least to some extent. The youth, today, are equipped with knowledge and information plus the inherent energy and enthusiasm. Their energy needs to be tapped in spreading awareness among the ignorant and the poor about the need to have not more than two children in family. They can inform and enlighten the people in small towns and villages about the different avenues of earning money. Enthusiastic campaigning against exploitation and corruption can also pave a way for the deserving ones to get their due.
The young boys and girls should be sent in groups from school and colleges to the areas that are most acutely poverty-stricken and thereby find out ways and means to help them overcome their pitiable condition.

On the 2nd of Jan , sh. Abdul Kalam visited our school for inaugurating a National level science Exhibition. About 20 schools from all over India participated in it. The whole school was abuzz with excitement to see the missile of India face to face. The participants could not wait to show their exhibits to him. when sh. Abdul Kalam entered the hall where the exhibits had been displayed,he asked the students to clap for themselves just to be release their tension. He, too clapped with them and said “The future of India has to be joyful and varient, I Sault all of you my little friends.” All gave brief presentations and he had an encouraging word for all. After them he was taken to the auditorium where the whole school was waiting in pin drop silence for his address but instead of delivering a speech he made it an interactive session where children asked questions and he answered. His address ended with a pledge, which he made the students take with him, to serve and live for the nation. The Head boy moved the vote of thanks.
