What is imperative sentence ?

Imperatives are verbs that create an imperative sentence 
(a sentence that gives a command or an order). When reading an imperative sentence it will always sound like the speaker is bossing someone around.

A sentence which has some command request advice or suggestion is called imperative sentence .

• Sit silently in the school hall

•  This means that the subject is the word you but since you is not written or spoken in the sentence, it is simply understood.


Use the word without ‘to’ and without ‘Ing’ and don’t say ‘you’.
