IELTS GENERAL: If you’re taking IELTS general you’ll have to read texts similar to Newspaper, Novels, Advertisements, Books, Notices
According to IELTS official, there is three passages and the three passages have 2500 words

How to manage time in the reading section
Here are some Tips and Trick to get the highest band in the reading IELTS section
● Highlight your keywords when you read your question add a line to the most important words they will help you to concentrate on what you are looking for.
● The order of the questions follows the order of the texts
● Be a little attentive to the first and last paragraph because this part expresses the main ideas
● Don’t move your eyes over the place
● Skimming and scanning
● The first section is always the easiest and the third section is the hardest and it requires more time try to finish the first reading section in 10-15 minutes and keep more time in the third section.
● Develop vocabulary
● Always remember that you have enough time
● Mark out keywords or sentences related to any action, incident
● Find keywords
● Answer the question directly
● If you can’t find the answer to a question skip it and do it in the end.
● Read the full parra in 2-3 minutes to find out the areas where you can reduce time
● Speed reading, careful reading, search reading
● Don’t look for the same words! Look for paraphrasing.
● Identify synonyms in reading

How to guess True, False & Not Given
● The questions will follow the order of the article
● Look for keywords & synonyms.
● If you can’t find the answer it’s probably not given
(This tips only if you are running short of time)
● If the words are:- All, always, every time, only then the answer most of the time is False
● If the words are:- frequently, certain, same the answer is:- True
● If there is a comparison in the sentence then the answer is Not Given

● Read the paragraph heading
● Read sentences carefully
● The answer is mostly in paraphrase
Multiple Choice Questions
● The questions will follow the order of the passage
● First, read the question and underline the main word then find.
Sentence Completion
● Do not exceed the given word limit
● Ensure the answer fits perfectly.
