WOMEN EMPOWERMENT ESSAY


Women’s empowerment means being given equal rights to females in their lives, freedom of decision-making, education, and employment not only in our society and workplace in the whole world.

Women’s empowerment can be defined as promoting equal rights for women.

・Their sense of self-worth

・Their ability to determine 

・Their own choices, and 

・Their right to influence social change for themselves.

Empowerment is the process that creates power in individuals over their own lives, society, and their communities. Women’s empowerment is all about equipping and allowing women to make life-determining decisions through the different problems in society.

Women are an integral part of society, Women are the backbone of society & not a showcase of society. God assigned them a great position and they also had a great role in winning the ancient wars, so women occupied many positions such as teachers, doctors, and engineers. Women can fix society but can also break it.

 The woman is the secret of the beauty of life because the nature of a woman forces her to spread love, affection, and happiness to everyone around her. In India, only 66% of women above 15 years are literate, as compared to 82% of men. this clearly shows how women lack access to education in India.

Women’s education is necessary for the growth of any country.

Women can add to the workforce, and this contribution will reflect on the country’s economy. Empowering women helps in the development of the nation. In India, women have traditionally been confined to household work and taking care of the family.

Women empowerment is today’s buzzword with women working alongside men in all spheres. They profess an independent outlook, whether they are living inside the home or working outside. 


The individuals and government must both come together to make it happen. Women must be given equal opportunities in every field. Moreover, they must also be given equal pay


We can empower women by abolishing child marriage. Parents must teach their daughters it is okay to come home divorced rather than in a coffin.

It’s not easy being a woman even in these Modern days. Education is the only way to bring change in a woman’s life, as in many rural areas women are still deprived of the right to education. 


Role of Education in Women’s Empowerment:-

1. Education raises job opportunities and improves economic growth.


2. Through education they will get to know about childbirth, pregnancy safety, parenting style, and many more.


3. Education develops personality and knowledge.


4. Through education women get to know about their rights.


5. They will know about their own capacities and interests in their field.

Importance of Women’s Empowerment in our society:-

5. To prevent the cruel crime in society.

6. Women empowerment can comprehensive growth of women and their families.

7. Women empowerment reduces social issues, poverty, unemployment, and birth control.


How can we empower women…?


1. Social welfare measures:- Dowry, caste system, child labor, no right to education, and child marriage should be banned or eliminated with the full support of government agencies and the public.


2. Right to education:- It is necessary to raise awareness about the rights to education in many countries this can be done through community, media, public, and educational programs. Providing equal educational opportunities is fundamental to women’s empowerment. When girls have access to quality education, it opens doors to a brighter future


3. Raise awareness about girl education:- It is crucial to give education to girls in developing countries to improve economic growth this can be done through media, campaigns, communities, schools, and NGOs that target both parents and children.


4. Encourage parents:- Give counseling sessions for parents  and better teacher-parent to improve their attitude towards girl child, create awareness about teenage pregnancy, bad touch or good touch, early marriage, career, health risks, health issues, 


5. Provide necessary facilities to female children: The government should provide free uniforms, books, one-time meals, and a free travel support system like free buses, vans, and scholarships for girl children.


6. Social education for adult women:- Empowered women by teaching simple skills like sewing, knitting, handcrafting, ing, etc., and can give them basic knowledge of health and food habits their attitude should be changed for family planning.


6. Gender equality in curriculum activities:- Sports and curriculum activities should be equal for girls and boys, and steps should be taken to improve arts and vacation training for girls.


7. Mentoring women professionally and personally.


8. Equal Employment opportunities:- Women should have the same employment opportunities as men.


9. Healthcare Access:- Access to healthcare is a vital aspect of women’s empowerment. Ensuring that women have proper healthcare.


10. Rights and protection of women:- Legat rights and protection of women are important. This includes laws against gender-based violence, discrimination, equal rights in marriage, property ownership, and other areas. Legal frameworks that support women.

To conclude, Women’s empowerment is not just about lifting individual women; It’s about uplifting entire communities and societies. When women are empowered, they bring positive changes. It is a collective responsibility to break down barriers in the world.
