What is causative verbs ?

A verb is called causative when we get something done by someone else

There are four ways of making a verb causative :


1. Cause + object + to + verb 1st form (infinitive)


Example :

I caused him to wash my clothes


2. Make  + object + verb 1st form 
(bare  infinitive)


Example :

I made him wash my clothes


3. Get + object + verb 1st form 
( past participle)


Example :

He caused me to laugh


4. Have + object + verb 1st form 
( past participle )


Example :

He made me laugh

1. Change surrendered into surrender. (hint: make + bare infinitive)



2. The company got the employees to work harder around deadlines. (hint : get + to infinitive)



3. The government has let no one take an international flight after covid.
